John
As a young boy, John saw Napa grow from its infancy. John loved to hike Napa’s historic hiking trails, fishing and feeding the ducks alongside his grandfather. John grew from a mischievous boy, paintballing in the Biali Family Vineyards, to a Boy Scout earning honorable Eagle ranking. As he grew older, he continued to enjoy camping and exploring the natural caves of the Napa Valley. In high-school, John would be crowned King of the Valley for wrestling, coached by Bob Musante, where he received his first glimpse of the wine world. When it was time to cut weight for wrestling tournaments, John would follow his coach from construction job-sites to his Calistoga ranch to prune vineyards, make wine, or shoot guns.
After graduating from UC Davis, John began swinging the hammer alongside Bob flipping homes during the day. When the sun went down, John would work nights for Thomas Keller, where he quickly learned the standard of Napa Valley hospitality.
In 2017, a 6.0 earthquake devastated the Valley. John’s flip at the time was severely damaged, leaving him unable to sell the home. In a time of uncertainty, he persevered by taking his hospitality skills and turning his home into the fastest-growing Airbnb in the county.
Steven
No stranger to the beautiful Napa Valley. As a young boy in the Summer, Steven would hike the Mountain of Skyline in Coombsville, and adventure the dormant volcano of Mount St. Helena in Northern Napa Valley. As Winter came, Steven would fish the Napa River for Steel Head salmon.
Steven attended Vintage High School where his mascot was, The Grape Crusher. As a student athlete, Steven reached the California High School wrestling State Championship and was amongst the top twelve in the entire State, crowning him "King of the Napa Valley." Both Steven and his brother John shared the same High School wrestling coach, Bob Musante. Bob taught the Arrambide brothers many things along with wrestling and life skills. He showed them basic vineyard management skills as they would learn to tend Bob's small single Vineyard in Knights Valley (Northern Calistoga). As harvest approached, the Musante and Arrambide family worked together to hand pick and gather all the precious grapes and would practice several grape fermenting recipes. These sacred recipes Bob had learned as a young boy from the monks that made wine for Silver Oak.
We love to open our home to you as our guests in the Napa Valley and look forward to your stay!
